Role Overview This position supports Council's direction by undertaking a wide range of maintenance and construction works requests that are urgent, high priority or complex/sensitive by nature, such as (but not limited to): plant and truck operations, labouring tasks, concreting, storm water drainage, kerb and channel repairs operations.
Demonstrated experience and understanding in the application of environmental and health and safety legislation.Physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting and bending.Ability to acquire the skills to work proficiently with mobile devices and other business technologies.Experience and ability to operate relevant civil construction plant and machinery with possession of the relevant tickets and licences.Queensland 'HR' Class driver's licence or above that is current and maintained.Competency to conduct Civil Construction Excavator Operations (RIIMPO320F).Construction Industry White/Blue Card.Operate and maintain medium complexity plant and equipment in a competent and efficient manner to deliver council's work program in accordance with the level of the Award.Perform labouring tasks in a safe, competent, efficient and timely manner to deliver council's work program to quality standards.Participate in the development of a healthy and safe workplace.
Embracing initiatives, information and training and incorporating safety into all daily activities.
