This position is part of the Commercial Team, and sits within the Command Corporate Services Unit (CCSU).The Commercial Team manages professional networks, serves as a contact point for inquiries and escalations, and ensures smooth communication within the Command. The role requires adherence to the regulatory framework, Code of Conduct, and AFP Governance Instruments, with a focus on achieving outcomes.This position supports the Northern Command and its Executive, working closely with the Office of the Assistant Commissioner and Commanders to maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, in the provision and maintenance of organisational facilities and corporate support functions. The Facilities Officer ensures all organisational facilities are well-maintained, functional, and safe.What will you do?This role provides consistent high quality customer service through management of facilities and commercial functions to internal AFP and external stakeholders that builds a positive reputation and trust in the business area. It performs regular and project tasks within specified project plans and in accordance with the predetermined timeframes to support AFP outcomes.The duties of the facilities and commercial officer will include, but are not limited to:Property Management & FacilitiesPoint of contact for staff in relation to general facilities requests;Liaison with the facilities manager and AFP Property Operations;Ongoing review and action on Accommodation pressures within Northern Command and management of desk/office allocation;Management of storage areas, furniture allocations and property disposal;Manage staff information communications on all building/property/maintenance matters;Escorting.Commercial/CorporateCoordinating staff training;Planning and coordinating awards and recognition ceremonies;Manage asset/controlled items stock-takes;Providing general administrative and corporate support to the Command;Identifying support areas for improvement and reduction of red tape;Manage procurement of office supplies;Coordination of Compliance: Fingerprinting and Drug Testing;Gym and Gun locker administration.*Note: Some roles within the Commercial Team may involve moderate physical activity i.e. assisting with relocating furniture etc.Minimum RequirementsYou must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.Proven ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated experience identifying and addressing issues proactively.Excellent time management and organisational abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities and manage unexpected challenges.Ability to source solutions creatively and work within budget constraints.Selection CriteriaOrganising your work, making sound decisions and achieving outcomesCommunicating and working effectively with other peopleApplying technical knowledge, expertise and skillsApplicationPlease submit the following documents via our Jobs portal prior to the closing date and time:Resume/CV - This will form the basis for determining your suitability against the position requirements and give the panel a clear outline of your current knowledge and qualifications along with previous experiences.Applicant pitch (maximum two pages).
