What we are looking for:
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious individual to join our team in the construction and maintenance of road systems, with a strong focus on concreting, pipelaying, and stormwater drainage.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing key tasks that ensure the durability and functionality of our infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will be committed to maintaining high-quality standards while prioritising safety, ensuring the long-term reliability of our road and drainage networks to effectively serve the community.
What You'll Need for Success:
Road and Drainage Construction Experience: Proven experience in roads and drainage maintenance, with specialized skills in concreting (formwork and finishing), pipelaying, trenching, and stormwater drainage systems.Strong Attention to Detail and Safety Standards: A commitment to delivering high-quality, cost-effective results while strictly adhering to safety standards and regulations.Teamwork and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to work efficiently within a team and under general supervision, demonstrating initiative in problem-solving and task completion.Communication Skills: Strong listening skills and the ability to convey information clearly, along with experience in completing timesheets, correspondence, and mandatory forms.Motivation: Ability to self-motivate and contribute effectively as a team member, taking initiative in tasks and projects.Construction Induction Training (White Card)Current Unrestricted Medium Rigid (MR) LicenceWhat's nice to have: SWNELPTraffic Management Implementation (Level II)Chainsaw Level 1Benefits of Working with Council: Committed to providing quality services to our community, we strongly support an inclusive and values-driven culture, recognising your individual skills, knowledge, and talent.
