About the RoleThe purpose of this role is to lead a team of Business Banking Managers delivering an insightful and valued proposition with the goal of delivering superior customer outcomes and targeted quality growth.
The Team Manager will demonstrate a deep understanding of what drives value for our customers in this segment and will work closely with the leadership across the broader business to ensure that we successfully deliver market leading propositions.
You will drive significant transformation within Australia Commercial focused on providing customers with whole of wallet solutions.

Work Hours: Full-time What will your day look like?This role is responsible for:
Accountable for the financial performance of the team within geographical location.
This includes responsibility for revenue, cost management and portfolio performance for the local segment.Responsible for ensuring that the industry-based knowledge, insights and training is effectively disseminated to generalist bankers within the business.Ensure the team operates with a collaborative, productive and effective sense of "team" that spans bankers who deal with clients in both the SME team as well as their counterparts across Broker and Origination and Diversified and Specialised Industries.Support and drive significant transformation within Australia Commercial to improve customer and banker experience.Driving increased customer whole of wallet strategy and retention strategy across Australia Commercial in partnership with local leaders across ANZ.Run a well-managed business.Demonstrate Commercial's sales leader capabilities (Role modelling co-creation and the belief that collaboration can yield better results; Responsible for developing and leading high-performance sales teams; Role modelling enterprise leadership and personal presence).Ensuring a customer centric culture is developed and nurtured, ensuring focus on the customer experience through each interaction and transaction.Coaching bankers to ensure they are having holistic customer conversations to uncover Whole of Wallet needs and are effective at recommending appropriate solutions.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Coaching: Helping and guiding people from where they are to where they want to be in their career.Business performance drivers: Understanding the key inputs and activities that drive the operational and financial results of a business.Credit Assessment and Management: Assessing, advising, monitoring and/or approving a customer's credit worthiness, credit risk and suitable credit structuring options based on internal credit policies, guidelines, scoring models and/or applying judgement based on prior experience and knowledge.Team Building: Help to foster a healthy working culture.
Enabling and facilitating a safe and supportive work environment.Commercial Acumen: The ability to take a big picture view of the organisation, the market, external and internal pressures and trends and identify actions or strategies to drive efficiency and create long-term value.Communication: The ability to convey and comprehend information effectively in both spoken and written formats.Counsel & Guidance: Providing accurate and ethical advice recommendations and thought leadership.Planning & Prioritisation: Planning and prioritising what needs to be done inclusive of people, process and technology requirements and implications in order to deliver.Change Management: Prepare, engage, and support people to successfully deliver, embed and adapt to change which safely delivers outcomes.A customer-first mindset, balanced with deep analytical thinking and the ability to synthesise multiple sources of information to make sound decisions.An understanding of the regulatory and government environment.Experience leading business development and sales and a demonstrated understanding of the commercial drivers of success.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
