As a Team Manager, you will manage and lead a multi-brand team within Transaction Monitoring Investigations that delivers financial crime-compliance and customer outcomes across all Westpac Group brands.
The Team Manager will ensure team members are following Westpac Group protocol, policies and procedures when completing all tasks, whilst also identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, Financial Crime, the Team Manager plays an integral role in the facilitation and development of a cohesive team environment and is responsible for ensuring the effective management of all business processes, people, risks and dependencies across the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Inspire and recruit passionate team members who drive the vision and business objectives, fostering a customer-centric cultureImplement Active Operations Management (AOM) principles for Operational ExcellenceOversee resource management, forecasting, and schedulingDevelop and deploy skills to meet short and long-term business needsAnalyse KPIs to inform business decisions for optimal outcomesCollaborate with the Operations Manager on remediation plansDevelop and manage stakeholder relationships to enhance customer experience, and drive process improvementsLead incident management and service level agreements, ensuring accurate performance reporting, issue resolution, and a customer-centric cultureManage a team that demonstrates an understanding, awareness and application of all agreed compliance standards including participation in risk governance activitiesWhat do I need? To excel as a Team Manager within Transaction Monitoring Investigations at Westpac, you need strong people leadership skills, and a solid understanding of business processes and tools.
Experience in Financial Crime Operations is highly desirable.
You should be adept at using business metrics to drive efficiency, managing internal stakeholder relationships, and leading team changes.
Additionally, being a self-leader with highly developed analytical skills, a drive for continuous improvement, and a determination to deliver the best results is crucial.
