About the Role This position plays a key role supervising staffing and managing resource requirements to ensure the efficient daily operation of the Council Wastewater Treatment Plants.
With responsibilities within the broader Wastewater Operations Team, the Team Leader contributes to ensuring licence, environmental and regulatory compliance requirements are met, with the objective to reduce overall costs and risks associated with the operation of the Council's Wastewater Treatment Plants. This position is also responsible for ensuring effective and efficient on-site operations and maintenance activities to achieve compliance with Workplace Health and Safety, environmental and quality requirements.
About You Our ideal candidate will have:
Certificate IV in Frontline Management or equivalent knowledge and experience.Certificate III in Wastewater Treatment or equivalent knowledge and experience.Extensive supervisory and leadership experience with strong people and time management skills and the ability to problem solve in a complex environment.Knowledge of and experience with the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants.Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to negotiate effectively.The ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, procedures etc. relevant to this position.Well-developed computer skills, including such applications as MS Word, Excel and Outlook as well as plant operation systems (SCADA).How to Apply Your application can be submitted through the 'Apply' button.
