About the opportunity We are seeking two highly experienced and ambitious drivers with supervisory experience to join our Waste Services team on a Permanent, full-time basis.
Blacktown City Council is rolling out an exciting new food and garden waste service, and you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient collection of green waste, garbage, and cleanup services.
In this hands-on position, you will not only drive but also assist supervisors in managing the daily operations of our Waste Services section.
Your expertise will be vital in providing technical advice and training to team members, while ensuring our residents receive top-quality waste services.

Qualifications and experience Essential: Current HR driver's licence Minimum 4 years' experience in waste management collection and/or removal or similar field Sound knowledge of waste management practices Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised Desirable: Experience training staff on the use of plant and equipment Experience in supervising staff Demonstrated skills in working with and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook Demonstrated ability to develop work schedules First Aid Certificate Remuneration and benefits The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.
Entry level for this position starts at $1,451.97 per week 38-hour working week Rostered Day Off (RDO) every month Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
