Full Time, Permanent Opportunity | $137,650-$143,108 + 11.5% super About the Opportunity In this influential role, you will lead the team that is responsible for transforming the ways that people move around and connect within the City of Adelaide.
You will manage high priority, highly technical transport matters across a range of areas from pre-feasibility through to delivery.
The Team Leader, Traffic & Transport will provide leadership, guidance, support and assistance to the Transport Planners, Transport Engineers and Traffic & Permanent Parking Advisors ultimately, leading the team who is responsible for transforming the ways people move around and connect with another within the City of Adelaide.
Some of the projects you will see yourself immersed in are: Delivery of an Integrated Transport Strategy, City Speed Limit Review and School Zone Safety Review Integrating multiple modes of transport within City of Adelaide projects, including prioritising cycling, wheeling and walking.
Adapting the city to accommodate the change in user transport modes Refining strategies for the future of the City's transport You will have a leadership style which is empowering, supportive, collaborative, encouraging and drives a positive culture, allowing you to provide leadership, specialist design guidance and advice, support and assistance to our Transport Planners, Transport Engineers, and Traffic & Permanent Parking Advisors.

About You To be successful in this role you will have: Leadership skills: Experience in leading cultural change, and providing motivational leadership within a technical environment, which continually enhances and builds the team's capability and performance.
Project Management skills: Experience in managing complex transport planning initiatives and ability to apply innovative and smart technology solutions.
Delivery & Stakeholder Management: Extensive experience in the delivery of transport strategies, planning and projects.
Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of the practical design of safe pedestrian, cycling and public transport movement systems in relation to traffic and parking, including relevant standards and legislative requirements.

Please be advised this is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a starting salary at the Level 9 Classification between $137,650 and $143,108 + 11.5% superannuation.
Please note that there will be a 3% salary increase commencing the first full pay period in January 2025, to $141,780 - $147,401 + super.
