Reporting to the Manager Assets and Technical Services, the Team Leader Technical Services is responsible for the management of day-to-day operations and leading the team in the development, implementation, and monitoring of design programs to meet the requirements of the annual Project and Capital works program.
The Technical Services Team is responsible for the design of hundreds of projects per year associated with the City of Onkaparinga's infrastructure and the provision of engineering support for maintenance, recreation, development services, and other sections of the organization.
About You The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate strong experience in leading and developing people, prior experience developing a business approach to design services, coupled with engineering knowledge relevant to development approval, including the planning approval process. You will possess high-level verbal and written communication skills, well-developed project management skills, and the ability to identify and progress change initiatives and to support others in an environment of change.

Key Selection Criteria: Proven and demonstrable experience in managing and leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team.Providing specialist advice to internal and external customers through the provision of investigations and solutions to design issues/problems that are cost-effective.Developing and monitoring design programs and projects to ensure works are achieved in appropriate time for construction delivery.Providing management and engineering reports on design issues and performance to management and Council.Working for Council Some of the benefits of working with us include:
