As the community continues to grow, this opportunity will allow you to grow with it!Essential QualificationsTertiary qualification in Sport and Recreation Planning, Management, Sports Management, Landscape Architecture, or a related discipline.Proven experience in leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams and creating an environment of accountability and continuous improvement.Extensive knowledge and understanding of recreation planning, sports management and the development of sport/recreation facilities.Proven track record in sport and recreation project management.Excellent strategic, conceptual analytical and lateral thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to drive the development of short and long term sport and recreation initiatives, plans and strategies.Substantial experience working with sports clubs/associations, and community groups and key stakeholders.Demonstrated experience preparing and managing budgets, forecasts and financial reports.Demonstrated experience in developing business cases, funding, and award submission applications.High level competencies in verbal and written communication including presentation skills.Desirable QualificationsExperience in community engagement.Demonstrated appreciation of the complexity of Local Government.Experience in a high-volume customer focused environment.Please note: This role will require a number of background checks, including a National Police Check.
