THE ROLE The Team Leader, Relocations leads a team to support households relocate from their home while social housing redevelopments are completed. The relocation team applies a renter-centric approach to engage with households to understand their needs, find a suitable home, and support their move.
The Team Leader, Relocations role leads a team of relocation officers that connect directly with renters to support their relocation, from first engagement to being moved into the new home. The Team Leader, Relocations will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders under the direction of the Manager, Relocation Operations. The position requires an excellent understanding of Victoria's social housing system.
Are you: Client focused with demonstrated experience in maintaining partnerships within a complex environment with competing priorities?An experienced people manager, relationship manager, and team player that works well with others to achieve team goals and deliver on projects?Experienced in Victoria's social housing system with a sound understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act 1997, public housing policies, and procedures relating to offers and tenancy management?We encourage you if you represent the communities who live in the public Housing Towers to apply.ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE: Lead various relocation projects across the Big Housing Build and other capital works projects within agreed timeframes and budgets.Coach, mentor, and guide relocation staff members to improve their service delivery competencies and maximize their contribution to achieve service outcomes.Contact renters to discuss their relocation, their household requirements, and manage renter expectations.COVID-19 VACCINATION: The department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice, given their individual circumstances.
