Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Recruitment and working as one of four Team Leaders, this role will work within a supportive and collaborative team environment and enable the team to provide accurate, efficient and customer-focused service to stakeholders. We are seeking an experienced, dynamic HR and recruitment professional to effectively lead a team of Recruitment Advisors in the delivery of high-quality HR services to a portfolio of clients.
About the DepartmentThe department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services, policy leadership, and plans for the future of education in Victoria. It plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the DivisionThe People Strategy and Operations (VPS) Division is responsible for managing HR operations and providing strategic support for both corporate staff and accommodation services. It oversees corporate environments, sustainability initiatives, payroll, recruitment, policy development, workplace relations, and workforce management. Operating under a values-based framework, the division prioritises meeting client needs and improving policies and processes, to deliver on our corporate responsibilities.
It is an exciting time to join the People Services branch, which manages payroll, people operations, talent acquisition and HR services with the goal of attracting and retaining top talent while nurturing a culture of high performance and innovation. The branch is currently implementing a new innovative operating model to introduce more efficient work methods and enhance its service delivery to the business.

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic HR professional to effectively lead a team of Recruitment Advisors in the delivery of high-quality HR services to a portfolio of clients. The role's responsibilities will include:
Effectively managing fluctuating workloads and timeframesResolving complex HR issues through interpretation of relevant policies and proceduresManagement of escalated HR issuesDeveloping and maintaining key stakeholder relationshipsSupporting the leadership team with change management and governanceMonitoring and managing employee wellbeing and team cultureAttributesThe successful candidate will be accountable, organised, engaging, and agile, supporting the People Services leadership team and Recruitment Advisors across a range of tasks, such as:
Uplifting team capability through training providing consistent, accurate adviceDriving and maintaining a positive, engaging and client-focused team cultureIdentifying and helping facilitate strategic changeThe successful candidate will help to build organisational capability and support the execution of recruitment systems, processes, policies and procedures in alignment with the strategic direction of the Department. The successful candidate will be provided opportunities for professional growth and development within this environment.
Desirable Qualifications and ExperienceTertiary qualification in Human Resources is desirable. Previous experience in recruitment leadership and/or similar role alongside prior use of ServiceNow or Springboard would be advantageous.
