Remuneration: $152,734 to $160,006 pa (HEW9) (inclusive of $129,062 to $135,207 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Team Leader, Platform Engineering to join Digital Business Solutions, Administrative Division. The Team Leader, Platform Engineering is responsible for developing and embedding a culture of immutable and componentised architecture for our core systems and platforms. This role will lead the technology shift from monolithic and manually configured applications, to managed, secure, scalable, pipelined platforms. This role will work closely alongside portfolio, cloud engineering, and security teams to lead the automation of infrastructure processes and assist in developing managed application environments that enable functional portfolio teams to focus on features instead of the development of foundational services.

What you need to succeed

Education, training, and/or relevant experience equivalent to postgraduate qualification together with extensive relevant experience within Platform Engineering or Systems Administration.
Proven leadership ability with experience in cultivating a dynamic agile team culture focused on achieving organisational goals and applying development strategies that ensure the team has the relevant skills to respond to business needs.
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain productive and collaborative working relationships, including the ability to develop and present concepts, and negotiate with and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
Proven success in contributing as a technical expert as part of a team, and implementing improvement strategies that support effective response to client needs and achievement of organisational goals.
Proven experience in Infrastructure as code – ideally Terraform, Google Deployment Manager, AWS CloudFormation.
Proven experience with systems administration, networking concepts, enterprise monitoring solutions, and preferably enterprise containerisation solutions such as Kubernetes or Docker.
