This is an exciting and collaborative leadership role in our Environmental Sustainability and Open Spaces Department, based at Kew Depot.You will be a Team Leader in our Parks Team ensuring our parks and reserves are maintained to best horticultural practice standards & within the particular conservation management requirements for significant historic gardens.The position also incorporates landscape design and plant selection responsibilities for a range of Open Space sites including formal and high-profile gardens and civic sites; general parks and reserves; shopping centres; carparks; council managed sites. Supervision of contracts and arranging required works via contractors is a significant part of the role as is leading a passionate and talented team of eight Horticulturalists and a Technical Officer.You will have experience in supervising a high-performance team, driving standards and constant improvements. An excellent work ethic and time management skills are required along with a passion for open space management.
