Your new career awaits! An opportunity exists for the right person to join NWRH in a Team Leader role. Reporting to the General Manager Mental Health, as Team Leader you will be responsible for the efficient operational management of a range of Mental Health programs across the Townsville, Cairns, Mackay and western regions, (including Hughenden and Richmond and Croydon and Georgetown) and neighbouring catchment areas in North Queensland.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Recruitment and retention of staff;Supervision and monitoring of a team of staff working in rural and very remote areas;Management of data/documentation and reporting;Manage the performance of a range of programs in line with contractual KPI's;Travel throughout the service region.This is a leadership position, with strong focus on clinical governance and support of clinical staff.
About You To be considered candidates must hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant mental health discipline, and or health management to enable them to provide direct client services as required.
We are seeking a highly skilled professional with:
Excellent communication and personnel management skills and sound knowledge of workplace health and safety matters.An excellent understanding of the national standards that relate to client data management and documentation and the ability to implement these standards to a high level.Extensive experience in reporting and contract management in rural and remote areas.An awareness of Indigenous health issues and the ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner will be pivotal to your success. Although not essential, any experience gained in a remote/rural area and/or working within Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people, will be highly regarded.
