About the Role
CareSouth is seeking to appoint a Team Leader to support the implementation of our Intensive Therapeutic Care program based locally in Wagga Wagga. Our young people come from a background of trauma and we are looking for people who will work with their strengths to see them thrive. Could it be you?
Under the direction of the Manager, provide strong leadership and coordinate the operational requirements of the team on a day to day basis. The Team Leader ensures the provision of services and support to clients and families in line with CareSouth's Practice Framework.
About you
Demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, young people and people with a disability.
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work/Welfare, Social Sciences, Disability or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity within the OOHC, Disability Services or Community Services sector.
Proven flexibility, adaptability and able to respond and adjust easily to change in work demands.
High level written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of the ongoing effects of injuries, trauma and/or neglect and abuse.
Proven effective interpersonal, conflict negotiation and resolution skills and to provide strong leadership under pressure.
Able to provide evidence (either on commencement or at mandated intervals) of completion of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) online Worker Orientation module "Quality, Safety and You" and hold a current First Aid Certificate including CPR.
Current NSW driver's licence (note that preferred applicants for the role will be requested to provide evidence of their driving history).
Willing to undergo a National Police Check and obtain a (NSW) Working with Children Check Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening Check.
