Team Leader - Ingham Community Mental Health The Ingham Health Service , serves a population of 15,522 and is located 110 kilometres north of Townsville, situated in the Herbert River Valley in Tropical North Queensland. Ingham is part of the Hinchinbrook Shire the area of which is approximately 2,869 square kilometres. It services an area from Cardwell in the north to Rollingstone in the south.
The Ingham Community Mental Health Service provides clinical assessment and evidence-based interventions within a multidisciplinary environment. The Ingham Community Mental Health Service provides clinical assessment and evidence-based interventions within a multidisciplinary environment. An opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to join the team on a permanent full-time basis. This is a multi-disciplinary position - applications are sought from Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and / or Social Workers.
The Team Leader will provide operational leadership and coordinate a specialist service for community members (and their families) across the lifespan who experience complex and severe problems relating to their mental health and/or alcohol, or other drug use disorders.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following: 
High level managerial leadership and strategic direction to support the operational management of a team, ensuring the delivery of quality recovery focused care. Provide high level intake, assessment and treatment services. Foster a culture of evidence-based practice, continuous quality improvement and effective risk management. Build and sustain positive relationships with team members, consumers and families/carers, other government and non-government service. High standard of written and oral communication skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation, to effectively communicate and collaboratively work with consumers and families and carers, members of the multi-disciplinary team, staff across the HHS and other service providers. Support team members to develop appropriate skills to their roles and to maximise their potential to deliver high quality service provision with a focus on evidence-based assessment, treatment and intervention. All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the Service.
What's on offer? Generous remuneration package value up to $167,587 p.a. (HP5) or $164,696 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7) comprising:
Salary range of $5081.10 to $5630.00 p.f. (HP5/Nurse Grade 7) Annual leave with 17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation. Other employment benefits may include: professional development, salary sacrificing options , shift and locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs, and access to corporate discounts. Requirements: Proof of qualification (Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work) and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis. Possession of class C drivers' licence. Probation period may apply.
