The purpose of this role is to pro-actively and effectively manage claims and injury management aspects of a caseload of high-risk significant workers' compensation claims within the legislation and achieve compliance with the Performance Measures. The position is working within our new portfolio and also involves leading and supervising the day-to-day work activity, training and development of a high performing and customer-responsive team. This unique portfolio provides a rewarding and challenging opportunity in the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme. This will be a permanent, full time position based in the Tweed Heads office, with flexibility to work from home. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Coach, guide and manage the performance of all team members, facilitating continuous improvement and individual development Have demonstrated experience in building and maintaining effective and successful business relationships with clients, including addressing and resolving any issues/concerns as they arise Implement business strategies that drive outcomes and facilitate achievement set goals and targets Resolve disputes and escalations effectively Facilitate, lead and encourage training and development in accordance with EML philosophy Monitor, evaluate and review staff workloads, and conduct both formal and informal performance appraisals for all team members. Develop teamwork within own department and across the organisation ABOUT YOU Experience in leading, mentoring and coaching individual and/or a team to achieve desired results Demonstrated experience in building effective and professional client relationships Exceptional time management, communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues and develop and implement strategies that lead to successful resolution Sound understanding of the relevant NSW Workers Compensation legislation WHAT WE OFFER We stand together as equals.
