Your Opportunity The Psychosocial Support Program (PSP) is a vital program in the community in partnership with the Healthy North Coast PHN supporting people living with mental health issues.
Based in Port Macquarie or Kempsey and covering the Mid North Coast you will be responsible for leading a team of 8 exceptional people who provide support to clients with severe and persistent mental health issues, assisting them to navigate and coordinate their recovery.
This role will provide supervision, guidance and support to the team as well as be responsible for auditing of case notes and ongoing reporting functions.
Your Key Responsibilities Conduct regular case-reviews and supervise staff to ensure effective review of client recovery plans and monitor service delivery and outcomes.
Contribute to staff performance discussions when required including setting priorities and outcomes, planning, and organising work and monitoring workflows.
Provide ongoing intensive person-centred holistic and strength-based support to clients.
Assist clients to develop the capacity to self-manage and access required supports independently.
Attend and participate in external meeting and case conference reviews as required by the Program Manager.
Requirements for Success With a significant background in Mental Health , you will be confident in your values-based leadership and inclusion processes.
Other requirements include: Relevant university degree or diploma with 3+ years skills and experience in leading diverse, multidisciplinary teams, or other appropriate qualifications or experience acceptable to Mission Australia to perform the role.
Work with a strengths-based framework to facilitate client choice, safety, and responsibility.
Personal development and self-awareness including mastery with own wellness and confidence in own resilience.
Local knowledge and existing relationships with the community sector is desirable.
A positive and person-centred, trauma informed and recovery orientated approach with a strong guiding belief about everyone's capacity to self-right and grow within and beyond their current circumstances.
Ability to manage a range of tasks including those which fall outside of management to ensure others provide the support required for clients accessing the service.
Must have Full driver licence with no restrictions.
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
