Child Welfare, Youth & Family Services (Community Services & Development) Full time$110,000 p.a + Private use of MV + 9 day fortnightIn this Team Leader position you will work as part of a professional team at Queensland Foster and Kinship Care (QFKC). We require you to have relevant knowledge of family based care and child protection as well as proven skills in the co-ordination and leadership of programs and staff.You would be responsible for the day to day supervision of QFKC Case Workers and Retention and Development staff as well as other duties as outlined in the Position Description.The key responsibilities of this role includes:Responsible for the day to day formal and informal supervision and leadership of QFKC Case Officers in responding to complex carer mattersResponsible for the day to day formal and informal supervision and leadership of QFKC Retention and Development Officers in supporting and guiding retention strategies for foster and kinship carers in QueenslandProvide feedback and advice to the Director of Operations on administrative issues affecting the operating of QFKCProvide advice to the Director of Operations on identified trends identified through supervision of frontline QFKC staffCoordinate the identification of trends through supervision of QFKC Case Officers to address systemic local, regional and statewide trends and ensure the transfer of information to Retention and Development Officers for response.Responsible for the allocation of tasks to staff such as but not limited to, working groups, panels, forums, training facilitation etcResponsible for contributing to the drafting of QFKC documents (e.g. training packages, statements, booklets, surveys etc. exit report as required but not limited to these examples)Contributing to written responses to departmental papers or submissions as requested by the Director of Operations from time to time.Co-ordination and leadership of case work activity for Queensland Civil and Administration Tribunal and liaison with QFKC legal program to support the coordination of this area of workCo-ordinate on-call where required and undertake where no QFKC caseworker is available.Can carry limited case work activity as negotiated with Director of OperationsCo-ordinate QFKC representation on assessment panels throughout the state, attend assessment panels as QFKC's representative where negotiated with the Director of OperationsTertiary qualifications in the Human Services field and/or equivalent experience is essential and additionally you will be required to be in possession of a positive notice Blue Card.In return you will work in a meaningful role, with access to generous salary options including the use of a mobile phone and private motor vehicle use.Please email Jessica if you require a copy of the full Position Description.
