About the role
The team leader human resources is a newly created full time position, based in Townsville reporting to the people & culture manager. We are looking for a dynamic human resources professional with a passion for empowering teams and driving recruitment excellence. The team leader- human resources responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Leading and supporting a team of human resource officers to achieve recruitment outcomes that align with selectability's values and organisational goals. Developing strong internal relationships across the organisation, acting as a trusted partner in recruitment to enhance workforce attraction and retention. Driving continuous improvement for innovative attraction, recruitment, and onboarding processes to ensure a positive candidate experience. Training human resource officers with a vision to deliver high-quality services. Managing ongoing compliance of all employees training. Contributing to the ongoing configuration of our HRIS (PageUp) to optimize HR processes. Providing guidance to line managers on performance management matters. Developing reports to facilitate effective decision making and monitor compliance.
About you
To be successful you must have: Previous experience managing a team. Experience in human resources, including developing effective processes. Sound understanding of the Fair Work Act and other relevant legislation. Experience in community mental health, NDIS, child safety or aged care would be highly regarded. Proficient in Microsoft office suites of programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams and other databases. Experience in having difficult conversations. A positive attitude.
You will also need: A Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain). NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain). NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'.
