The Team Leader Freedom of Information (FOI) prepares responses to complex FOI cases and provides advice on the implementation of FOI legislation, regulatory frameworks and privacy requirements.
As the Team Leader FOI, you contribute to the provision of a contemporary, responsive and fit-for-purpose Freedom of Information function, continuing to reflect government expectations.
You will also lead the design and implementation of streamlined and improved processes and systems for the Department's FOI function.
This is a permanent, full-time position.
This process may be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise within the Department and across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the initial date of appointment.
We are located in Perth CBD in a convenient location, above the Perth Underground rail; close to the Wellington Street Bus Station and City CAT services.
To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate: Demonstrated experience in leading, coordinating and guiding in a complex Freedom of Information environment.Well-developed conceptual, analytical, research and writing skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesise complex information into clear and succinct documented processes, written recommendations, reports and briefings.Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with experience in collaborating with a range of internal and external stakeholders to successfully influence and achieve desired outcomes.Demonstrate the behaviours within the leadership context of Leading Others as outlined below.Core leadership behaviours outlined in Leadership Expectations are applicable to this role and should be demonstrated in the context of Leading Others.
