Team Leader, Financial Shared Services (Permanent - Full-time)
The Team Leader is responsible for leading and providing hands-on support to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team.
The role is also responsible for managing the fortnightly Payroll and ensuring compliance with all related legislation.
What do the responsibilities include?
Ensuring salaries and wages are distributed accurately and on time as per Award, Employment Contracts and other legislative requirements.
Preparing, balancing and reconciling the following PAYG tax and FBT, Superannuation, annual leave, long service leave and annual finalisation for income summaries.
Overseeing daily bank reconciliations for cheque account.
Providing information to both internal and external auditors with regard to audits of accounting and payroll procedures and records.
Identifying, attracting and retaining high quality staff, managing performance where required and developing employee capability and skills to achieve business goals.
Acting as an escalation point for more complicated functions related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
Answering and resolving employee queries relating to payroll and managing adherence to the Customer Service Charter for all stakeholders.
Implementing policies and procedures and contributing to their continual improvement.
Performing various accounting functions such as reporting, leave liability, accruals, salary analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and others as required by the business.
Who are we looking for?
Desirable skills and experience include...
Tertiary degree in Accounting or Payroll Management, or equivalent experience.
3-5 years experience in a similar role.
Expertise in managing and coaching team or peers to drive performance.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of employment legislation relating to Industrial Awards, PAYG, and FBT.
Experience with Employment Hero and SDM.

Competitive, above award salary from $117,345.80- $122,527.47 per annum.
