Applications are sought from applicants wishing to be considered for the role of Team Leader to further strengthen the AFP's Forensics Command work in facial recognition and forensic art, in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders.The Team Leader is responsible for managing the delivery of a range of key services, including:Facial recognitionFacial image comparison for identity resolution, including for court purposesFacial composites (face fits) and photo boardsAge progressions of fugitives and long-term missing personsCraniofacial reconstructionsAs a Team Leader you also play a pivotal role in developing people, managing change, and influencing behaviours that lead to a supportive culture that respects the perspectives, talents and value of each individual. Successful applicants must be willing to relocate to Canberra at their own expense.This role attracts a composite allowance in recognition of expanded working hours, normal patterns of attendance and shift patterns (such as afternoon shifts, weekends and Designated Public Holidays) that are required under the Operations working pattern. In accordance with the AFP Enterprise Agreement 2017-2020, an employee who is required to work in accordance with the Operations working pattern will receive a Core Composite of 22% in addition to their base salary, which will count as salary for superannuation.
