About Domestic Violence North Queensland (DVNQ) Domestic Violence North Queensland (DVNQ) is dedicated to providing culturally appropriate, respectful, and holistic support to those affected by domestic and family violence (DFV). About the Opportunity DVNQ is looking for a full-time Team Leader - Domestic and Family Violence based in Mount Isa, QLD. The Team Leader will report to the CEO and is responsible for coordinating the delivery of specialist domestic and family violence programs, ensuring high-quality support to clients and leading a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities: Leading a team to provide culturally appropriate and trauma-informed support to clients affected by domestic and family violence Coordinating day-to-day operations and ensuring efficient service delivery Overseeing staff performance, professional development, and wellbeing initiatives Collaborating with leadership to drive continuous improvement and innovative service models Providing expert advice on domestic and family violence principles and trauma-informed practices Representing the organisation within the community and service networks Producing reports and managing case files using relevant databases Assisting with government funding applications and reporting requirements Engaging with local organisations and stakeholders to foster collaboration and community support Ensuring the team adheres to organisational policies and best practices Fostering a culture of excellence, advocacy, and integrity across the team Leading crisis interventions and safety planning for high-risk clients About You To qualify, you will need a tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, social science, or a relevant human services discipline and 3-5 years of experience in the human services sector. A minimum of 12 months experience in a leadership/supervisory role is highly desirable. A deep understanding of First Nations cultures and the impact of intergenerational trauma is also essential.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued: Knowledge of current DFV legislation and best practices Ability to communicate complex information sensitively and effectively Experience working in a culturally competent manner with First Nations peoples Expertise in trauma-informed practices Strong crisis intervention and safety planning skills Strong decision-making and case-management skills High competency with technology and record-keeping systems Proficiency in report writing and case management systems A current QLD C Class Driver's License and Working with Children Check (Blue Card) is essential As our ideal candidate, you will possess demonstrated leadership experience or leadership qualities, along with strong people management and coordination skills. You will have keen attention to detail, especially in policy and procedures. A commitment to advocacy, integrity, and client-centred support is essential, as is the capacity to foster collaboration within teams and across organisations.

About the Benefits Earn between $53.84 - $56.22 per hour under the SCHADS Award Level 6 classification.

Enjoy 4 weeks of annual leave with an additional 17.5% leave loading. Plus, receive an extra 3 days of leave during the Christmas period, allowing you more time to recharge and spend with loved ones. Relocation package of up to $5,000 for the right candidate, helping to ease the transition to Mount Isa.
