Team Leader - Dispatch & Bagging

Based in coastal Central Queensland, we are searching for a Team Leader to join our Dispatch and Bagging section.
You will join Cement Australia's largest site and flagship maintenance leadership team in Gladstone, reporting directly to the site Production Delivery Manager.
About the role: This leadership role will be responsible for providing task direction for the production dispatch process, as well as engaging with the Production and Maintenance Team Leaders to ensure we are continuing to deliver volume and cost outcomes consistent with our business plans and continuous improvement processes.
Other duties in this role will include:
Assigning and monitoring the team's daily tasks Coordination of planned maintenance tasks, including major shutdowns Organisation and coordination of equipment maintenance and ensuring the mobile plant equipment is maintained across the team Coordination and planning down day activities including isolation plans Monitoring of ship loading, truck loading and weigh bridge performance including rates and performance Management and coordination of weekly plans for bagging shed, reporting on variances Providing shift coverage and support for Shift team leader leave – when required Promoting taking initiative in SHEQ behaviours and challenge non-compliance Planning resources to identify hazards, manage risk, and reporting measures Leading and participating in SHE training, ensuring that SHE is the first consideration in all operational activities Conducting toolbox talks, ensure JSEA's are completed, and safety observations are undertaken routinely Enhancing employee performance, motivation and conduct employee reviews as required About you: Cert III in Warehousing Operations or related discipline (advantageous) Proven experience in a similar team leader/supervisory role, within the manufacturing industry Cement manufacturing experience (advantageous) Demonstratable experience in leading safety behaviours on site High level of communication skills, including oral, written and non-verbal. Ability to foster a positive and engaged work environment High level of stakeholder skills, with a strong focus to deliver the best outcome possible A team player, and not afraid to jump in and support the team Why work for Cement Australia?
