Team Leader: Data Management Services and Support (HEO 8)Based in Information Strategy and Technology Services at the Mawson Lakes campusFull-time (1.0 FTE), continuing positionCommencement Salary: $108,351 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)About You

About the Role 

Reporting to the Manager: Research and Data Management Support, you will provide technical leadership and day-to-day supervision of a team of information technologists who design, develop and support research management systems; and support corporate databases infrastructure technologies. You will use your substantial technical expertise to deal with complex IT problems and guide less experienced staff in the implementation of new technical enhancements. You will provide technical leadership for large IT projects, take responsibility for the project management of smaller projects and be involved in the complete system development lifecycle. 

About Information Strategy and Technology Services (ISTS) 

Information Strategy and Technology Services (ISTS), which has the primary strategic and operational responsibility for the provision of the UniSA's considerable IT infrastructure and services has approximately 150 staff in 9 key areas.

ISTS has a commitment to staff development and provides a professional environment in which to work. Skills development is encouraged and while this position is within a specific area, opportunities will arise to work in other areas of information technology. 

The University's Research and Data Management Support team ensures the effective and efficient delivery of specific information technology solutions using a variety of technologies including: C#,.NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, XML, XLST, Postgres, Microsoft SQL and Oracle. 

The Research and Data Management Support team cross-skills over applications and database technologies to manage, develop and support the University's Research Systems and Data Management Infrastructure to ensure business objectives are met.

Essential Skills and Experience  Relevant tertiary qualification (normally a degree) or demonstrated equivalent knowledge, experience and skills as well as a commitment to ongoing professional developmentExperience leading a team of developers and database infrastructure administrators including mentoring junior staff and an understanding of Performance Development and Management principlesExtensive experience in technical leadership and design skills contributing to large and complex organisation wide projectsExtensive experience in, and commitment to, the use and support of project management methodologies and quality procedures along with a practical knowledge and demonstrated experience in using a service management framework (such as ITIL) particularly in relation to incident, change and problem managementWell developed skills in the implementation of application, database and operating system security in a large and complex information technology environmentProven experience in developing and documenting policies and strategies to enhance and promote the delivery and support of IT solutions in a manner which contributes to the University's strategic objectives Based in Information Strategy and Technology Services at the Mawson Lakes campusFull-time (1.0 FTE), continuing positionCommencement Salary: $108,351 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)About You
