Position Overview: The Team Leader, Conservation and Mining leads the development and implementation of departmental policy and strategies in relation to exploration and mining activities in protected areas and other sensitive environments. This includes working with mining, resources and energy regulators and entities within the industry to ensure mining, resources and energy sector projects meet protected area legislative requirements and adequately protect conservation and heritage values.
Responsibilities: Lead a small team of staff who work closely with regional teams and specialists to provide high-level advice.Represent the department in on-ground inspections in protected areas, including remote areas of the State.Application Process: Applications are to be submitted online through I WORK FOR SA ID 639987.
