Job Description: As a Team Leader in the Conferencing Team, the incumbent will bepart of the Youth Court Leadership Team.
The role will be responsible for ensuring the delivery ofresponsive conferencing initiatives and enhancing the ConferencingTeam's capacity to provide a high standard of conferencingpractice, consistent with the concepts of family decision-making,mediation, diversion, restorative justice and natural justiceprinciples.
The Team Leader will work closely with the Manager, Youth Courtto lead and guide service delivery of the Conferencing Unit. Key component of the role will be to promote, support and developperformance excellence and practice innovation across theConferencing Unit and providing support, guidance and direction toCoordinators convening conferences.

This is a short term contract for 8 months with thepossibility of extension. Appointment is under the Courts Administration Act1993 . Terms and Conditions of employment are governed bythe Public Sector Act 2009 . Appointment is dependent upon a current National PoliceCertificate that the CAA finds satisfactory. This role is identified as a Prescribed Position and thesuccessful applicant is required to obtain a Working withChildren Check (WWCC) prior to employment with the CAA, whichmust be renewed every five years before expiry.
WWCC's can be obtained through the Department of Human Services(DHS) Screening Unit As a justice agency, the CAA may receive details of spentconvictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and usethis information in the selection process. The CAA may require disclosure of COVID-19 vaccinationstatus on appointment. May be required to work in any CBD or metropolitan locationeither on a temporary or ongoing basis and undertake intra orinterstate travel which may necessitate overnightabsences. Requirements: For appointment as PO: Appropriate degree level tertiaryqualifications in community services, sociology, criminology,justice, correctional practice, social sciences, human services,health or related field.
For appointment as AHP: Appropriate degree or equivalentqualification which entitles registration with the Psychology Boardof Australia or gives eligibility for full membership of theAustralian Association of Social Workers.
Remuneration: PO3 ($99,788 - $105,495 per annum)
AHP3 ($102,641 - $110,094 per annum)
