The Team Leader, Compliance and Enforcement is tasked with leading, managing and mentoring a team of Compliance Officers, to ensure they have the technical knowledge, skills and support to use the powers as set out under the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018, to deliver outcomes in line with the Compliance and Enforcement Strategy.
About us The Portable Long Service Authority (the Authority) is a self-funded statutory body established to administer the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018. The Act, together with the Long Service Benefits Portability Regulations 2020 provide a Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme. The Authority plays an important role in allowing workers in the community services, contract cleaning and security industries to build up long service benefits based on time in their industry rather than with a single employer. About the role The Team Leader Compliance and Enforcement will be pivotal in leading, managing, and mentoring a team of Compliance Officers and providing support directly to the Head of Operations. The Team Leader will be essential in supporting a culture of collaboration, development and support within the Compliance team. Additionally, you'll lead compliance and enforcement activities in accordance with the Act and regulations, with a strong focus on ensuring compliance in the overdue and inaccurate quarterly returns process. This is a 6-month fixed term position.
About you As the Team Leader, Compliance and Enforcement, you will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills to supervise, support and develop team members and support partnerships with internal stakeholders and business units. You will possess demonstrated high level conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to apply legislation, policy and procedure to resolve complex issues. The successful candidate will have excellent time management and adaptability to manage multiple priorities and ensure the teams tasks meet set deadlines. Experience in a regulatory environment or similar will be highly regarded.
