About the Position: In this full-time role based in WA, you will be responsible for managing Local Area Coordinator (LAC) Community Capacity Building (CCB) activities within the community to increase accessibility and inclusion for all people with disability regardless of if they are participants in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Responsibilities will include: Working closely with people with disability to understand their needs and priority in particular for social inclusion and economic participation in line with the aims of the NDIS, ensuring high quality & consistent service to NDIS participants. Informing the community about the NDIS, its goals, activities, processes, and functions. Engaging with senior external stakeholders, such as Councils and Shires, to promote the benefits of accessibility and inclusion. Providing leadership, supervision, and support to LACs CCB and administrators. Delivering services in accordance with agreed CCB plans and outcomes. You will have… Ability to support and promote the individual needs, skills, abilities, and personal goals of people with disability. Understanding of options in the local community for social and economic participation for people with disability, their families, and carers. Qualification in allied health, disability, human or child services, community services, or social work, desirable but not a requirement for the role. Hold a valid Working With Children Check, NDIS Workers Screening Clearance, and can successfully complete a PEP check. Skills and experience in the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
