Western Plains Correctional Centre (Western Plains) is Victoria's newest maximum-security correctional facility, designed to house up to 1,248 people in custody.
Western Plains is a multi-purpose facility that adapts to the evolving needs of Corrections Victoria.
It features purpose-built modern amenities including medical wards, a cultural centre and vocational training facilities.
About the role As part of the Workforce and Prison Services (WPS) team, the Client Services team is dedicated to delivering essential corporate and ancillary services support to prison operational teams and prisoners.
The Team leader, Client Services will lead a small team, responding directly to general staff and prisoner enquiries across their service area in an efficient, effective and customer-focused manner.
This role will also support the Supervisor, Client Services in the development of continuous improvement actions to ensure that prison services continue to complement and underpin custodial operations at the centre.
The Team Leader, Client Services will require direct contact with the people in our care at Western Plains and involves weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provision of the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement 2024.
Given the nature of the position, being a customer-facing role within the facility, you will be required to work predominantly on-site, with reduced working from home capacity.
About you This is a multiskilled role which requires strong leadership skills and an ability to work within a dynamic environment to ensure operational service delivery is maintained to a high standard.
