It also utilises cutting-edge technology to keep the facility secure, allowing staff to focus on supporting the rehabilitation of people in custody.Western Plains will open mid-2025 and Corrections Victoria are now recruiting key roles to help shape the future operations of the facility.About the role As part of the Workforce and Prison Services (WPS) team, the Client Services team is dedicated to delivering essential corporate and ancillary services support to prison operational teams and prisoners.The Team Leader, Client Services will lead a small team, responding directly to general staff and prisoner enquiries across their service area in an efficient, effective and customer-focused manner to deliver timely, accurate and reliable support to the centre. In addition, this role is responsible for triaging queries to specialist support areas within the Client Services team and providing ongoing support to the other service areas as required.This role will also support the Supervisor, Client Services in the development of continuous improvement actions to ensure that prison services continue to complement and underpin custodial operations at the centre.The Team Leader, Client Services will require direct contact with the people in our care at Western Plains and involves weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provision of the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement 2024.Given the nature of the position, being a customer-facing role within the facility, you will be required to work predominantly on-site, with reduced working from home capacity.About you This is a multiskilled role which requires strong leadership skills and an ability to work within a dynamic environment to ensure operational service delivery is maintained to a high standard and resolutions are sought to ensure consistent workflows, compliant with legislative and organisational objectives.
