You lead by example and set high standards for your team to follow.You are friendly, supportive, and actively listen to the needs of others.You enjoy working with people, can build strong relationships, and are open to the opinions of others.You have a welcoming and respectful customer service disposition when dealing with both your internal and external customers, and our community.You set challenging but realistic goals, reflect and learn from experiences and problem solve to get the job done.You are passionate about leadership and developing collaborative, achievement-based team practices as you know this is how you can best encourage people.You lead the team in providing streetscapes, parks, and gardens maintenance tasks including:Liaising with the Supervisor to implement a regular gardening schedule.Implementing correct signage when operating roadside.Being accountable for quality and standard of work performance, including productivity and safety.You ensure the proper operation and security of materials, plant, and equipment.You undertake daily regular maintenance and safety inspections of tools and machinery.You are skilled in traffic management.You provide on-the-job training and guidance to employees under supervision.What can you bring to the team? Certificate III or IV in Horticulture or Turf Management or equivalent.Three to five years' experience of developing and maintaining streetscapes, parks, and reserves.Previous experience supervising employees and conducting practical staff training.Practical experience with horticultural machinery, mowers, and relevant equipment.Current unrestricted MR (Medium Rigid) class national drivers' licence.Competent in the use of tablets, smartphones, and other electronic devices.Current White Card.Current Basic First Aid Certificate.Current Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) and Traffic Controller Certificate.As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to participate in a full pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing.The finer details This permanent full-time OSE 4 position attracts a salary range of $73,786 to $76,419 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.
