Work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders in the effective delivery of support services to Westhaven Children and Young People (CYP) with a range of complex needs.Partner with children and young people (CYP) diagnosed with a disability and/or complex behaviour needs to achieve their goals and to live life the way they choose.Be responsible for ensuring the children and young people you support are receiving a high level of quality care with dignity and respect from a team of support workers you will lead, mentor and supervise.You will have: A Diploma in Community Services, Children's Services or similar field; or identify as Aboriginal and be willing to work towards a relevant qualification.Knowledge and understanding of positive behaviour support practices/plans.A proactive approach to supporting individuals with disability.Proficient computer skills including the use of Client Management Databases and Google Suite (or similar).Highly developed organisational skills and capacity to prioritise competing demands.Effective conflict resolution skills, negotiation, mediation and decision-making skills paired with exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to confidently apply de-escalation strategies in high conflict situations.Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, behaviours of concern and mental health concerns.Experience working with people with a disability, highly regarded.Experience working with children or youth in a care or education setting, highly regarded.About UsWesthaven is and will continue to be the provider of choice for disability support services and accommodation across regional NSW.
