This is achieved with our caring staff by giving them empowerment, a sense of belonging, respect, and dignity.We are looking for experienced Disability Support Team Leaders who have experience supporting people with mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and challenging behaviors.
This role reports to an Area Supervisor, who supports and trains you.In this role, you will be expected to do 1 day per week administration, and the remainder will be focused on direct care of our participants and supervision of the Disability Support Workers.In this role, you will support the Area Manager to ensure we deliver high quality of care and enable participants to achieve their goals by:Leading and supporting team members, escalating any concerns to the Area Supervisor.Ensuring the environment is one in which team members can perform their duties effectively and efficiently.Monitoring on-site roster changes such as staff swaps liaising with Roster Coordinator to resolve any urgent changes.Assisting Area Supervisors to build team rosters 8 -12 weeks in advance.Ensuring that the Client care plans meet the needs of the client and are being followed by all support workers – this includes EMP, MMP, BSP, and other support plans.Building relationships with key stakeholders of the participant.Ensuring houses operate in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policy and procedures.Ensuring high quality record keeping and completeness of internal documents at the House.Completing Mandatory reporting.In-home care assisting and enabling participants with daily tasks including meal preparation, personal care, and administering medication.About you:Minimum 1 plus years of experience in supervising or leading a team of disability support workers.Experience across a range of disabilities, including challenging behaviors, Mental Health, and Autism.Experience in working across multiple group homes or SIL houses.Basic excel skills to create weekly reports.Minimum Certificate III Disability or similar / higher.Good communication skills.Empathy for the issues facing people with a disability.Strong belief in the principles of Person Centred Practices.Highly organised and proactive.NSW Driver's License (or similar) plus own car is desirable.Our values are being and belonging, quality, integrity, innovation, empathy, and diversity drive every decision we make as a team.Learning and development opportunities available.Support & mentor people with Disabilities and make a difference.Attractive and Competitive Pay Rates (SCHADS Award).How to apply & next steps:To apply for an opportunity in our growing team, click on the "Apply Now" button and attach your resume and cover letter outlining your skills and experience.All staff must be vaccinated against COVID-19.
