As the Team Leader Budgets , your primary objective is to support the financial performance of the Department by producing monthly whole-of-department financial reports to monitor the strategic financial goals of the Agency. Working with the Manager Budgets, you will assist in supervising a small team of finance professionals as they provide budget, accounting, procurement and payment support to the agency. Your key duties will include undertaking high-level financial reporting and analysis, oversight of the budget review process and budget estimates, and providing advice to meet legislative and budgetary requirements. To meet the challenges of this key role you require demonstrated ability in budget formulation, reporting, collation and interpretation of financial date, well-developed communication skills with the capacity to convey information to a diverse range of stakeholders, and experience supervising and motivating staff. A proven history of interpreting and analysing financial data and reports, using various packages including spreadsheets and databases to provide sound recommendations is essential.
