Position Profile: The Team Leader - Biomedical Electronics is responsible for participating in and leading a team that provides repair, installation, performance testing, safety inspection, calibration and preventive maintenance of biomedical electronic devices, clinical computer systems and analytical equipment. Typical equipment includes patient monitors, defibrillators, ventilators, infusion pumps, pulse oximeters and centrifuges. Substantial experience in the design and/or maintenance of clinical or health care laboratory equipment with relevant experience in clinical computing, network technology and information systems is essential. This position operates within the clinical environment to investigate and resolve equipment related issues.
The successful applicant joins a team in the Technical Services Division of Health Technology Management Unit (HTMU) supporting sites across the East Metropolitan and South Metropolitan Health Services.
Applicants must have a post-secondary qualification in Electronic Engineering or allied discipline equivalent to a minimum of two years full-time study. Proven ability to organise self, manage and lead a team to achieve required goals is essential.
