THE ROLE The Team Leader guides and manages teams focused on planning and delivering 'front line' housing services.
A key priority is ensuring high quality client service for those seeking housing assistance or living in public housing.
This role also involves meeting organisational goals, service standards, budget targets, stakeholder expectations, and client needs.
Operating in a dynamic environment, the Team Leader must understand the context, make sound decisions, achieve outcomes, and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
The Team Leader will operate at a level consistent with the Victorian Public Service 5.
Grade Descriptors and Value Range Standard Descriptors as set out in the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Lead a team of housing staff that support applicants/renters on behalf of the department, including work allocation, human resource and performance and reporting management consistent with the organisational goals and values. Effectively supervise and provide leadership to a team(s) by: modelling behaviours integral to good people management and departmental values supporting individuals to achieve their potential while maximising their contribution to achieve their goals and outcomes where relevant, support specific improvement objectives in annual improvement plans relating to the area of responsibility building and maintaining positive relationships with peers and stakeholders across the organisation. Manage, interpret and apply business plans and policies in own area of responsibility and provide advice to others on design and implementation issues. COVID-19 VACCINATION
The department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice, given their individual circumstances.
As of June 2023, DFFH does not require evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status.
