About The Position
The Australian Nurse-Family Partnership Program (ANFPP) is an evidence-based program for women pregnant with an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander baby. The GWAHS ANFPP Team Leader is responsible for the implementation of the Australian Nurse Family Partnership Program across Blacktown and Mount Druitt LGA. The Team Leader oversees the ANFPP Team, supported by The Aboriginal Family Partnership Worker for mentoring and leadership, ensuring professional and culturally appropriate services are delivered to clients participating in the program with a main focus on ANFPP Elements.
Key Responsibilities:
A strong understanding of the principles and delivery of comprehensive services such as primary health care, social and emotional wellbeing, and group work.
Well-developed interpersonal skills, ability to advocate on cultural matters, provide innovative solutions to complex problems, and to engage, negotiate and resolve conflict.
Understanding of issues relating to Non-Government Organisations and emerging models of primary health care and human services.
Proven working partnerships with relevant internal and external stakeholders including Aboriginal communities.
Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander women, children, and their families.
Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and history, and current issues affecting the lives of Aboriginal people.
Demonstrated high standard of written skills in the preparation of detailed reports, general correspondence, and documentation with an understanding of confidentiality.
Preparedness to undertake and complete all ANFPP training and other workplace training as required with a willingness to travel interstate for training.
Recent work experience and knowledge of maternal/child health services, particularly in a primary health care setting.

Immunisation Record & evidence of COVID vaccination
Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA with a minimum of 2-year relevant clinical experience.
