About the Role This position plays a key role in providing Asset Compliance leadership. The role will:
Contribute to the development of asset compliance strategies and practices to achieve the business vision and key business priorities. Lead the Asset Compliance function to ensure efficient and effective delivery of accurate asset registers, asset information and Geographic Information System (GIS) management to achieve required business outcomes. Continuously improve the asset compliance function by identifying the business issues in relation to core asset data and its geographic representation, as well as implementing strategies to transform the business. About You Our ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering (eligibility for corporate membership of Engineers Australia), Spatial Information Systems, Information Technology or equivalent. Proven ability to effectively lead a team of people and proactively shape work culture using work processes and personal leadership behaviours. Demonstrated experience in contemporary asset data management strategies and plans that ensure a high level of asset data integrity to support engineering asset lifecycle management decision-making. Significant experience (minimum 10 years) of leading asset data management in an asset-intensive industry. Highly demonstrated experience in providing sophisticated strategic asset data and GIS advice to all asset related queries. Demonstrated experience in managing and developing GIS frameworks and systems as representations of physical asset networks. Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, codes and guidelines relating to the QLD Local Government Act and appropriate asset and data management standards.
