Unique to this portfolio is the Clinical Liaison Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Service (CLAIS) which provides cultural and AOD support to all ages of clients over the Gold Coast.About the roleThis is a full-time ongoing opportunity, based in our Burleigh Heads Office.You will be responsible for providing clinical and operational management for our AOD Services within the Gold Coast Youth team. You will support the development and delivery of individual and group therapeutic interventions and provide behaviour-changing counselling interventions to assist people in reducing or ceasing harmful AOD use.Oversight of the Clinical Liaison Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Service (CLAIS) is also included, of which you will bring your cultural competence and passion. You will also hold a small caseload of clients to complement your leadership responsibilities.You will love this opportunity as you:Lead the provision of high-quality engagement, assessment, counselling, case management and support services to young people and their familiesLead clinical interventions in collaboration with Counsellors / Case ManagersLead the clinical review of individual treatment plans and external service providersProvide expert AOD practice advice and secondary consultation to AOD Counsellor Case Managers and other support staffThe salary range for this role is $106,379 to $111,094 per annum, + super, depending on skills, knowledge and experience.What you will bring to the role:Extensive experience in Youth AOD practiceTertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or allied health (or similar field)Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring teamsSignificant experience in assessment, case coordination and case management with vulnerable people from diverse backgrounds (e.g. homeless, mental health, AOD, CALD including Indigenous backgrounds and/or people with disabilities)Extensive applied knowledge in contemporary evidence based AOD counselling practice, case management and intake and assessmentExperience in developing and facilitating evidence based clinical education programsAbility to collate key documentation to support staff supervision and manage key reporting requirementsA current Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain thisLocal area knowledge is highly regardedWhat matters most is that you'll live and breathe our values, which means:You are humble, human, and full of hope.You show up and share.You ask: Why not?
