Based in Southport and Palm Beach.Job detailsPosition status: Fixed Term TemporaryPosition type: Full-timeClassification: HP5Workplace Location: Gold CoastJob ad reference: QLD/GC604321HPClosing date: 27-Nov-2024Fortnightly salary: $5557.50 - $5798.90Job duration: 10 months, with the possibility of extensionPlease note: This role may also be filled by a Nurse Manager as per attached Role Description.The RoleAn opportunity has become available for a Team Leader (Alcohol and Other Drugs Service) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales region of Australia.You will:Provide efficient and responsive Alcohol and Other Drugs and mental health care, utilising advanced level of knowledge and skills in the area of clinical practice and addictions.Maintain high level interpersonal and communication skills with members of the multidisciplinary team, consumers, and visitors to the service.Develop a dynamic, flexible, resilient, and skilled workforce through effective staff management and professional development opportunities.Integrate and operationalise key objectives and strategies for a work-based culture that promotes and supports education, learning, research, and workforce development.About youTo be successful in this position you will require:A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Social Work.AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapist and Psychologist only).Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (Social Worker only).Driver Licence.Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Hepatitis B.Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required.Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost).About UsThe Gold Coast Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (AODS) is a specialist service that provides a range of treatments for individuals experiencing severe and complex drug and alcohol challenges and their families.
