Be Recruitment is partnering with a Melbourn-based not-for-profit organisation to recruit a Team Leader to lead their adolescent mental health support service.
Please note this role is a fixed contract until December 2025 with the potential for extension based on funding.
About the Role As the Team Leader, you will supervise and lead a multidisciplinary team, including key workers and allied health professionals.
Your team will work collaboratively to support adolescents impacted by mental health to address barriers faced by young people disengaged from education or employment.
This role includes: Leading, coaching, and supervising a team of up to eight professionals.
Overseeing the delivery of trauma-informed programs for at-risk youth.
Strengthening partnerships with external organisations to enhance service delivery.
Supporting the team in meeting key performance indicators and program guidelines.
This position is based in South Melbourne, and regular travel is required to other areas of Melbourne.
About You You are an experienced leader with a background in supporting young people, particularly in mental health or related fields.
You thrive in a team environment and are committed to fostering a positive, psychologically safe workplace.
You will have a robust understanding of the role that allied health professionals, such as psychologists and occupational therapists, play in supporting and treating mental health conditions.
Key Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work, or a related field.
Diploma holders with 7-10 years of leadership experience in a similar role will also be considered.
A minimum of two years of leadership experience in mental health or youth services.
Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
Knowledge of child welfare legislation and mandatory reporting requirements.
A current Working with Children Check (WWCC), National Police Check, and full driver's licence.
