Full-time and continuing positionBased at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, DouglasHEWL 7: $94,374 - $104,359 per annum plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits.ABOUT THE ROLE As the Team Leader, Administrative Services (Divisions), you will lead a newly structured team in delivering high-quality, client-focused administrative services across our Services, Research and Education Divisions. In this dynamic leadership role, you will foster a high-performance, service-oriented culture, oversee compliance with university policies, and ensure streamlined, effective support for internal and external stakeholders. You will manage staffing processes, including recruitment, induction, and professional development, while driving process improvements through technology to enhance workflows and upskill your team. Additionally, you will address risks related to financial controls, data privacy, and reporting, ensuring all administrative functions comply with regulations and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE We are seeking a qualified professional with proven experience leading and managing administrative teams, focused on service excellence and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and multitasking skills, the ability to prioritise competing demands, and a talent for identifying and implementing process improvements. Knowledge of administrative functions, including travel coordination, event management, HR support, and document preparation is essential, along with proficiency in administrative systems such as finance, HR, and document management tools. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, as is a sound understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks within a higher education context.
