Job Description Due to an internal move, AECOM's Water Resources Team in Melbourne is looking for an engaging and collaborative Team Lead to provide leadership, market engagement and to assist in growing our team.
Our Water Resources team provides multi-disciplinary, integrated delivery of water resources services across all industry sectors, particularly in the areas of flood impact assessment, hydrological modelling and drainage design.

This role will give you the opportunity to network across all areas of the business and with our leading specialists in ANZ and globally, building your professional profile and carving a career pathway that will make a difference.
What will a day in this role look like: Provide technical direction, mentor and train our junior members within the team.
Bring your creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual project delivery, technical and client challenges, determining technical objectives and requirements, and developing standards and guides for technical activities and applications.
Support a large variety of projects across all market sectors, with a focus on transport (road, rail and air), water, energy, mining and private sector markets.
Collaborate with local, regional, and global AECOM colleagues as part of project delivery.

What are we looking for from you?
A relevant tertiary degree & CPEng.
Good working knowledge of drainage / flooding / integrated water management.
A passion for mentoring and leadership.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Champion new ideas, encouraging initiative and promoting innovative techniques or actions.
An appreciation of clients within the water and other water-related markets such as land development, private water utilities, local and state government as in major urban water utilities, regional authorities etc.
