We now have an exciting opportunity for a Team Lead - GIS Analyst (Data Capture) to join the Networks team in Thomastown VIC, Eagle Farm QLD, or Kidman Park SA, on a Permanent Fulltime basis.
About the Role Reporting to the Data Services Manager, the Team Lead will oversee the GIS Data Capture team, ensuring the seamless operation of day-to-day activities while driving high-quality, accurate data collection. This role is critical in shaping APA's strategic direction through robust business case assessments and the effective use of GIS technologies.
Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor the GIS Data Capture team, fostering a collaborative, productive, and supportive work environment.Oversee the day-to-day operations and projects of the GIS Data Capture team, ensuring they align with company objectives and deliver high-quality data outputs.Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans for optimising GIS technologies in APA's data capture activities.Ensure accurate, high-quality data capture and spatial data management processes.Collaborate with various departments to integrate GIS data capture efforts into broader company initiatives and objectives.Stay current on industry trends and emerging GIS technologies to continuously improve the team's data capture processes.Your background Experience in a leadership role and managing stakeholders.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.GIS expertise, spatial databases and data quality assurance.Good communication, training and coaching skills.Understanding of the energy sector is beneficial.We are seeking a driven and proactive individual with a passion for GIS technologies and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading GIS data capture teams and be comfortable working cross-functionally to achieve broader business goals.
About the Team Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.
