Join Fleet Solutions as a Team Lead, Fleet Asset Replacement Planning, based in Wacol, where you will lead the Assets Delivery team, providing guidance, supervision, and coaching to ensure effective customer service and performance. On a day-to-day basis, you will:
Have the opportunity to influence investment planningBring experience in asset replacement planningLead innovative procurement and manage contracts, evaluations, and contractor performanceOptimise fleet asset lifecycles in collaboration with your managerSupport annual fleet asset disposal, ensuring legal complianceContribute to special projects and fleet management tasks for optimal outcomesPrepare, review, and manage fleet capital and operational budgetsOversee the fleet budget process and capital expenditure programMaximise asset value through maintenance, repair, overhaul, and disposal adviceManage contracts and suppliers to mitigate risks and protect Council's interestsManage the administration of Smash and Damage repair for vehiclesProvide technical advice on fleet specifications, ensuring statutory compliance.This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader with a background in fleet supply chain or mechanical fields, and experience in government fleet and asset management is advantageous. The successful candidate will be calm, composed, agile, and enjoy a challenge. They should be analytical, able to think creatively, and excel in a fast-paced, close-knit, and enjoyable team environment. Attention to detail and the ability to manage diverse tasks in a dynamic setting are important.
Fleet Solutions branch provides full lifecycle management of the fleet assets deployed across Council to support the delivery of services to the City of Brisbane.
