Team Lead, Agriculture Climate Adaptation Position overview The Team Lead, Agriculture Climate Adaptation, works under the direction of the Agriculture Section Manager, and as part of the Agriculture Section.
Climate change is exacerbating our current risks and creating new ones. Australian farmers need to consider long-term trends in the climate when making decisions about infrastructure development, the suitability of land for certain crops or livestock when making investment decisions, farm business succession and adaptation of farming systems. Australian farmers need to continue to adapt to climate change. Mitigation alone is not enough to stop the impacts of climate change from increasing.
The Team Lead, Agriculture Climate Adaptation, leads projects and activities that aim to have real impacts to the agriculture sector by raising the awareness, knowledge and skills of farmers/producers to continue to take action to adapt to a changing climate.
The successful candidate will lead a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate with delivery partners and customers to develop and implement impactful solutions.
