This is an exciting opportunity to join the St Michael's team and contribute to this mission.About the RoleReporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Team Coordinator Rostering plays a critical role in undertaking roster coordination across multiple program areas to ensure efficient and effective rostering services across our Association.
The role also provides leadership and support to a small team.
Working in a highly collaborative team environment, the role operates in a fast-paced environment and requires initiative to solve problems and ensure a cohesive team atmosphere.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:Lead a small team to ensure efficient and effective rostering services across the Association.Oversee the management of fortnightly rosters of approximately 200 employees.Work closely with the Disability Services team to schedule rosters to achieve optimal outcomes for participants and the Association.Perform ongoing review, development, and implementation of improvements to rostering processes.Ensure compliance with industrial instruments and WHS legislation.Monitor and report on data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Train employees on rostering systems.Contribute to effective staff consultation and communication when rosters change.Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders.Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceA minimum of 3 years of experience at a Team Leader level in rostering or workforce planning, preferably in the disability or aged care sector.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.A proactive approach to problem-solving.Demonstrated understanding of relevant industrial Awards, employment, and WHS legislation.Highly proficient in the use of rostering software (MYP experience will be viewed favourably) and the Microsoft Office suite including Word and Excel.Current Working with Vulnerable People Card (or ability to obtain).Current National Police Check (or ability to obtain).Why Work With UsAs a registered not-for-profit charity, employees can access salary packaging to increase their take-home pay.With a strong history of over 50 years in the sector, St Michael's is a leading Tasmanian provider.Working in the disability sector is incredibly rewarding and we are always looking for values-driven people who want to make a difference.Our people are important to us, and we proactively work to build a positive culture for our valued employees.We provide our employees with ongoing training and personal development opportunities.ApplicationPlease attach your CV and a cover letter outlining what experience and skills you will bring to this role and St Michael's.
